This is an idea for a pastel that I got on Thursday night, before the moonlight kayak tour . The green of the water backlight the pine trees and it caught my eye. This is the result of an hours work with pastel on a 36" x 12" lauan wood panel.

This article was the result of a telephone interview. I found out today that there are turkey vultures at Whiskeytown , but the California condor does not inhabit this park.

I am pleased with the progress of this painting. This creek is such a wonderful place to paint. The 100 degree heat is cooled y the cool flowing waters. My SUV is parked about 150 feet down the trail, and it is so close to the cabin.
